Recently, the Chassis Number 3 1921 Bentley 3-litre, which was registered in the UK with AX 3827, was auctioned at Gooding & Co. during the 2011 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. Noel Van Raalte paid for it no less than 962,500 USD.

The Chassis Number 3 Bentley has its original aluminum coachwork and brass brightwork, just as they were built by the company's founder, W.O. Bentley.

Back in the day, the Bentley 3-litre managed to

win the 24 Hours of Le Mans endurance race two times, in 1924 and 1927. This was just the beginning as Bentley went on winning the race for five times in the following eight years.
