The latest news from the Arctic Lapland Rally says that Kimi Raikkonen was involved in a rather serious crash in the second stage of the event. However, Raikkonen managed to continue the rally with his damaged Citroen C4 WRC. In a right turn, Raikkonen hit a tree and went off the course. He had to ask the help of the spectators to get his Citroen C4 WRC back on its wheels and into the competition. This cost him 15 minutes on the stage, and more than 20 minutes of penalty time. Before the crash Raikkonen had a good start and recorded the second fastest time though Friday's opening stage.

The Citroen C4 WRC sustained damage and will have to go to the shops. Raikkonen and his co-driver Kaj Lindstrom however, will not, as they were unhurt.
