Volkswagen revealed the R-Line package for the new CC (previously known as the Passat CC) at the 2012 LA Auto Show. The Volkswagen CC R-Line is available with the 2.0T (USA version; 2.0 TSI European version) and it comes with new exterior styling and a more high-end interior. This means that the R-Line CC has a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine equipped with direct injection that's good for 200 hp and 207 lb.-ft. of torque. Volkswagen offers two gearbox choices for the CC R-Line: a 6-speed manual and the DSG. For the exterior of the VW CC, the R-Line offers a new front bumper with a larger grille, re-styled side skirts, and projector-style foglights. For the interior of the CC, the R-Line program includes the RNS 315 navigation system, a multifunction steering wheel with paddle shifters (DSG gearbox version), and stainless steel scuff plates.
The Volkswagen CC R-Line also comes with a set of 18-inch alloys and various badges.
The Volkswagen CC R-Line's price for the United States market, where the new version will go on sale towards the end of this year, starts at $32,195 USD.
