Volkswagen announced today the price of the new Jetta Hybrid for the United States market, where the 2013 version is going on sale in the last quarter of 2012. The Volkswagen Jetta Hybrid is powered by a 1.4-liter TSI turbocharged and direct-injected engine mated to an electric motor. This powertrain, which comes with a seven-speed DSG dual-clutch automatic gearbox, has a total output of 170 hp and 184 lb-ft of torque. Fully re-charged, the VW Jetta Hybrid is able to run on electricity only at speed of up to 44 mph and for a distance of up to 1.2 miles. Volkswagen says that the new hybrid Jetta offers a fuel economy of up to 45 mpg and a 0-60 mph acceleration time of 9.0 seconds. The equipment list of VW's Jetta Hybrid includes LED DRLs, power and heated side mirrors, a rear spoiler and diffuser, and various styling accents to distinguish it from the other versions of the model.
The Volkswagen Jetta Hybrid is also equipped with Climatronic automatic climate-control, Bluetooth and Aux connectivity, an RCD 310 radio with CD player and six speakers, and leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel.
