VW revealed today the new 2016 Volkswagen Passat and released its complete specs and its price list for the United States. The 2016 VW Passat is going to be sold in the U.S. with a choice between three engines. The entry level 2016 Passat will come with a 1.8-liter TSI turbocharged engine. If you're looking for the diesel model, you have just one option - a 2.0-liter TDI. The top of the range 2016 Volkswagen Passat will come with a 3.6-liter VR6 that puts out 280 hp. According to VW, the 2016 Passat 1.8T will offer a 38 mpg fuel consumption. In terms of exterior design, the 2016 Passat features a remodeled front end and a completely new rear end. Its interior has also been re-styled. The 2016 VW Passat features new hood, front fenders, grille, front and rear bumpers, and trunklid.

It comes equipped with LED headlights and rear lights. The R-Line version features distinctive rocker panels, black accents and the front apron, a rear diffuser, and 19-inch alloys.

At the interior, the 2016 Volkswagen Passat features new instruments, the MIB II infotainment system, a new steering wheel and center console, heated rear seats, chrome and piano black trim elements, and Easy-Open keyless access.

The equipment list of the 2016 Volkswagen Passat includes a touchscreen display with a proximity sensor, USB and Bluetooth connectivity, smartphone integration, Android Auto and MirrorLink. The 2016 VW Passat also comes with an Automatic Post-Collision Braking System, Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Forward Collision Warning and Autonomous Emergency Braking (Front Assist), Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Traffic Alert, Lane Departure Warning (Lane Assist) and Parking Steering Assistant (Park Assist).

The 2016 Volkswagen Passat's price list for the United States market starts at $22,440 for the 1.8T S model.
