A new rumor started by the Brits says that VW is preparing the Volkswagen Passat Cabrio. It will not actually be a Passat with its roof chopped off, but the new generation of the VW Eos that will borrow the name. Don't just go running at the dealer's yet. The Volkswagen Passat Cabrio will come in 2014, after the VW Eos facelift will come in 2011.
It's too soon to make speculations about the Volkswagen Passat Cabrio, but early info says it will try to move more upmarket, with better interior materials and a more upscale exterior design. The engines of the Volkswagen Passat Cabrio will boost more power in comparison to the current Eos. the units on the future Volkswagen Passat Cabrio are expected to be a 4-cylinder
turbo petrol engine developing around 250 hp and a twin-turbo 2.0 TDI developing 220 hp.
The Volkswagen Passat Cabrio will also received the company's 4Motion all-wheel-drive system.
