New 2011 Volkswagen Passat Facelift info has surfaced recently as the station wagon / Variant version of the German volume model was spied testing in the United States. Apparently, VW plans to put even smaller and more economic engines under the hood of the large sedan and Variant estate. According to various sources, VW might go as far as giving the 2011 Volkswagen Passat Facelift the 1.2 TSI engine which outputs 104bhp. However, we believe this to be absurd. The 2011 Volkswagen Passat facelift is just too large and heavy for such a small engine. Imagine trying to overtake in a 100 hp Passat. Now this would be an event for the X Games...

VW will most definitely improve the fuel efficiency and reduce the CO2 emissions of the

engines on the 2011 Volkswagen Passat facelift. The new generation model will be available with both petrol and diesel engines and with a 2WD front-wheel-drive system. Later in its life, the 2011 Volkswagen Passat facelift will probably also get the company's all-wheel-drive system.
