The Brits from Autocar are speculating today that a Volkswagen Scirocco BlueMotion is in the works. The Volkswagen Scirocco BlueMotion will be the low fuel consumption / CO2 emissions level version of the German coupe which will fall in the same eco-range as the Passat CC and Tiguan.
The Volkswagen Scirocco BlueMotion will be powered by the 1.6 TDI diesel engine which is now fitted on the Golf BlueMotion that develops 104 hp. Some of the new features of the Volkswagen Scirocco BlueMotion include low resistance tires, various aerodynamic modifications and new gear ratios.
The Volkswagen Scirocco BlueMotion will be the first eco-car with sporting credentials in VW's model range. The Volkswagen Scirocco BlueMotion however, has not yet received the Green Light.
