Wimmer Porsche 911 Turbo (997) Gets 840 hp

Wimmer RST launched recently a new power upgrade for the Porsche 911 Turbo (997). The standard Porsche 911 Turbo (997) is powered by a 3.6-liter flat 6-cylinder engine that delivers 480 hp (353 kW) and 620 Nm of torque. With the new powerkit, the Wimmer Porsche 911 Turbo (997) puts out 840 hp(618 kW) and 870 Nm of torque. This is almost double the horsepower! With so much extra umpf, Wimmer's Porsche 911 Turbo is able to accelerate from zero to 120 mph (200 km/h) in just 10.1 seconds and it can reach a top speed of 363 km/h. The 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) acceleration time has not been disclosed.

Wimmer's new power package for the Porsche 911 Turbo (997) includes a reprogrammed ECU, two turbochargers, improved spark plugs, reinforced pressure tubes, a more capable fuel pump, a sports clutch, a stainless steel racing sports exhaust system with electronic valve control and sports catalysts.

Wimmer's Porsche 911 Turbo (997) is also fitted with 19-inch O.Z. Ultraleggera wheels, KW variant 3 coilovers, and 25 mm wheel spacers.

The price of Wimmer's power kit for the 911 Turbo is set at 39,000 EUR. The rims are going to cost you an additional 7,500 EUR.
