Edo Competition have announced that they have built one of the fastest, if not the fastest, Porsche 911 Turbo (991) in the world. The Edo Porsche 911 Turbo Blackburn (991) managed to reach a top speed of 341.21 km/h. This top speed was officially measured on the high-speed oval ATP Papenburg. Edo's 911 Turbo Blackburn underwent extensive testing over the course of a year on the Nurburgring Nordschleife and other race tracks. Edo's powerkit for the Porsche 911 Turbo (991) includes larger turbos, sport intercoolers, a modified intake system, a bespoke sport exhaust system and a reprogrammed ECU. The new exhaust is made of stainless steel and it features trimetal sport catalysts. As a result, the 3.8-litre engine off the 991 Turbo Blackburn develops 672 HP (494 kW) and 880 Nm of torque with overboost.

Edo says that the Blackburn is able to accelerate from zero to 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 2.7 seconds.

Apart from the powerkit, the Edo Porsche 911 Turbo Blackburn is also equipped with extra low weight 21-inch alloys with 245/35/20 Continental Sport Contact 6 tires at the front and 325/25/21 at the rear, and special springs that reduce the ride height by 30 mm.

Apparently, Edo Competition aims to take on the mighty 918 Spyder with their Porsche 911 Turbo Blackburn. As you can imagine, the aftermarket specialist did not disclose the price of these modifications.
