At the end of last year Vaughn Gittin Jr. took a shot at the World Record for the longest drift in a 2010 Ford Mustang GT. The event took place at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Until Vaughn started drifting his 2010 Ford Mustang GT, the world record was 4,137 feet. Although the results are still pending with the Guinness World Records, his 6,285 feet long drift in the 2010 Ford Mustang GT seems to be the new record.
The 2010 Ford Mustang GT is powered by a 4.6-liter V8 engine that outputs 315 hp and 325 pounds-feet of torque.
