Shelby Automobiles announced today the launch of a new track oriented model based on the Ford Shelby GT Mustang, called the Shelby GT R Model Jerry Titus edition. The Shelby GT R Model Jerry Titus will be built in only 37 units to honor the race driver for winning the SCCA Championship with the first R Model.
The Shelby GT R Model Jerry Titus is a purpose-built track car powered by the 4.6-liter V8 engine developing 550 hp and the company says it cannot be registered for the street. The Shelby GT R Model Jerry Titus features a Ford Racing/Whipple Twin Screw intercooled supercharger and a T6060 GT500-based six speed transmission.
The Shelby GT R Model Jerry Titus price starts at 134,995 USD and it will come in a whit paint finish with stripes.
