Shelby Performance Parts (SPP) announced today that the wide body package for the Ford Mustang just went on sale. The Shelby Mustang wide body package is available for all version of the model, produced between 2005 and 2009. Shelby's wide body was first introduced by the GT500 Super Snake at this year's North American International Auto Show in Detroit. The new wide body kit is available in two versions and it includes rear quarter panels that add 6 inches to the width of the car. Thanks to the wider fenders, you'll be able to fit your Mustang with 13-inch rear wheels. The front quarter are also wider and allow for up to 10-inch wheels. Shelby's wide body kit for the Mustang is also available in a rear-only option. Both packages come with a Shelby Billet Fuel Door, installation instructions, and all the special tools you'll require for installation.
Shelby's new body kit allows you to fit 345 wide rear tires on your Mustang, which will help the car put its power on the tarmac more efficiently. The Shelby Mustang Wide Body's price starts at $3,399 and it goes up to 5,999, not including wheels and tires. Shelby says that the wide body kit for the 2010-2014 Mustangs is going to be available this summer.
