Apple announced this week that Siri, that friendly voice inside your iPhone 4S, will soon be integrated into various vehicles. Siri is going to be able to offer directions, using the car's navigation system, and a range of other useful information. For example, it will help you avoid congested areas by using information it gets from the Internet. Siri's car application is going to be called "Eyes Free" and it will be able to accept voice commands. Eyes Free can read and write text messages for you, select you favorite song from and keep your agenda. So far, Apple says that Eyes Free will be integrated into vehicles manufactured by General Motors, Chrysler, BMW, Mercedes, Jaguar, Land Rover, Honda and even Toyota.
The exact date on which Siri will be available for you car has not been announced. However, Apple is confident that it will happen by the end of next year. Eyes Free's price has not been announced either.
