| Here's a short acceleration test filmed on-board the new BMW i8. The clip shows the i8 Bimmer accelerating from zero to 130 km/h. This is pretty impressive taking into account the fact that the car is powered by a 1.5-liter engine with 231 hp and 320 Nm of torque, and an electric motor with 131 hp and 250 Nm. According to BMW's official specifications, the I8 needs 4.4 seconds to get from zero to 62 mph (100 km/h). | |||||||
