Bill Caswell, a rally driver who has seen his fair share of Pikes Peak hill climbing, takes an electric BMW M3 for a test drive. The electric Bimmer was developed by EV West, a company from San Marcos, California. The car has two electric motors, which put out a total of 700 hp. This electric M3 has been developed especially for the Pikes Peak Hill Climb and it has a 50-mile range. Judging from the expression on the face of the driver as he lets the M3 loose for the first time, we'd say it's a really scary ride. However, we're not really sure about the driving experience. Afterall, 50% of the "music" is made by the engine and the exhaust.
