This is probably the first review of the new McLaren P1. For the purpose of this test, the McLaren P1 is being driven on the race track. The P1 is the successor of the McLaren F1, which is one of the best supercars that have ever been built. Here are some technical specifications of the P1. The power comes from a 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged V8 petrol engine, which is equipped with Hy-KERS and an electric motor. The total output of the P1 is rated at 915 hp at 7.500 rpm and 901 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. The McLaren P1 has a mid-engine rear-wheel-drive architecture and it comes with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission with steering wheel mounted paddle shifters. In the electric-only mode that P1 develops 178 hp and 260 Nm of torque, and in petrol-only mode it has an output of 736 hp at 7,300 rpm and 720 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. With a weight of 1,450 kg, the P1 offers a power-to-weight ratio of 631 hp per ton and a specific output of 240 hp per liter. In terms of efficiency, McLaren rates the P1 with a fuel economy of 34 mpg and a 194 g/km CO2 emissions level.
In terms of performance, the P1 needs 2.8 seconds to get from zero to 62 mph (100 km/h), 6.8 seconds to get to 200 km/h and 16.5 seconds to reach the 300 km/h mark. The P1 is rated with an electronically limited top speed of 350 km/h. The McLaren P1's price is set at 866,000 GBP OTR and it will be built in only 375 units.
