As you know, Top Gear has a completely new crew, since Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May left the show. Here is the second trailer of the 23rd season of the series, which features Chris Evans, Matt LeBlanc, Chris Harris, Eddie Jordan, Sabine Schmitz, Rory Reid and, of course, The Stig. The new Top Gear will go on air this Sunday and it will feature the Aston Martin Vulcan, the new Viper, the new Corvette, the McLaren 675 LT, and the Audi R8 V10 Plus. These are just a few of the supercars we're going to see in the new Top Gear. The second trailer of the series also offers a few spoilers. Some of the guest stars of the new show will include Formula 1 champion Jenson Button and Ken Block. Ken is going to drive the 845 hp all-wheel-drive 1965 Ford Mustang, which he used in the Gymkhana 7 video.
We have to admit, judging from this trailer, it seems the BBC has taken it a step further with the new series. Are they trying to compensate for the absence of Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May?
As you know, Jezza, Hamster and Captain Slow are currently preparing a new car show on Amazon. They've recently announced its name and apparently, it's going to be "The Grand Tour". Why "The Grand Tour"? When asked, the guys gave quite a few pretty good reasons for it. First of all, their "Top Gear Live Worldwide" tours, which they filmed between seasons, had a massive success. The second reason is that they want to ditch the old studio format in favor of one similar to the previous, film-like, specials, in which, of course, they toured the world. Jezza, Hamster and Captain Slow plan to host up to eleven shows, in viewer-requested locations.
Judging from the image they released, the new show is going to start this fall. We'll have more details about "The Grand Tour" as soon as they are available.
