James May and Richard Hammond React To Jeremy Clarkson Being Fired From The BBC

Well, it is the end of an era. As all of you know, yesterday, the BBC officially announced in a statement that Jeremy Clarkson has been fired. Here are the reactions of his colleagues, James May and Richard Hammond. Richard Hammond posted this on his Twitter page "Gutted at such a sad end to an era. We're all three of us idiots in our different ways but it's been an incredible ride together." James May gave the short interview, which is available lower down this page. The whole scandal started after a so-called "fracas" between Jezza and one of Top Gear producers, Oisin Tymon. Apparently, Tymon ended up with a slip lip after the incident. Earlier this month, May and Hammond refused to film the studio scenes of the last three episodes of Top Gear Season 22 without Clarkson, who was suspended after the incident.

As you'll be able to see in May's interview, it's pretty much clear that all three of them come as a package. May's and Hammond's contracts with the BBC expire next month. We think it's safe to speculate that Captain Slow and Hamster will also leave the BBC.

Back in September last year, Jeremy Clarkson announced on his Facebook page that the BBC is thinking about replacing him with Chris Evans on Top Gear. Later he retracted his statement. Could this mean that the BBC was actually trying to fire Jezza all this time? Who knows...

At this point, BBC's Top Gear is basically a thing of the past. We highly doubt they'll be able to find a solution for the show, so that it would have the same level of success.

We look forward to see what Clarkson, May and Hammond will do next. No matter what they'll decide to do, we're pretty sure it will be awesome.
