In the First episode of the 17th season of Top Gear, which started yesterday, Richard Hammond tests a different kind of truck - Paramount Group's Marauder. Paramount Group is a South African company that specializes in building vehicle for the army. They launched the Marauder, which Top Gear calls the "world's most unstoppable vehicle", back in 2007 at the International Defense Exhibition (IDEX) and Conference in Abu Dhabi.

Paramount's Marauder is an army truck, but with the right kind of papers, you can own one. However, you won't get all the army gear they can fir on the truck. The price of the Marauder is around the 300,000 EUR mark, which is Rolls Royce money.

With a 9,800 kg kerb weight and a 4,500 kg maximum payload, the Marauder is a large truck, which comes in two configurations, 4x4 or a 6x6. It has a range of up to 1,000 kilometers (620mi) and a cruising speed of 100km/h.
