Official: Chris Evans To Host Top Gear

 »  »  »

BBC officially announced today the new Top Gear TV show is going to be hosted by Chris Evans. In its official statement, BBC says that Chris Evans signed a three-year deal to lead an all-new line-up for the popular automotive show. This means that he will have a currently unknown number of co-hosts. The first rumors saying Chris Evans is to replace Jeremy Clarkson as the lead host of Top Gear started back in September 2014. Later, Jezza was fired as a result of a so-called fracas with one of the producers. Last year's rumor has just been confirmed today. In any case, Chris Evans promises to continue the tradition of Top Gear and "to respect what has gone on before". He also states that he plans "to take the show forward".

It remains to be seen if Chris and his new team will manage to fill the shoes of Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May. However, we doubt Top Gear will ever be the same.
