| The Rimac e-M3, which is based on a BMW 3-Series E30 from 1984, has just been declared the fastest accelerating EV (electric vehicle) in the world. According to Rimac, the e-M3 is able to run the quarter mile in 11.808 seconds. The e-M3 is able to get from nought to 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 3.3 seconds and to reach a top speed of 280 km/h. Rimac's official specs say that the e-M3 develops 600 hp and 900 Nm of torque. The e-M3 was the test bed for Rimac's new electric supercar, which is called simply Concept One. | |||||
