Koenigsegg has just informed us that their One:1 managed to break the 0-300-0 km/h world record with a time of just 17.95 seconds. Frankly, we are stunned! This means that the Koenigsegg One:1 managed to accelerate up to 300 km/h from stand still, and then stop, in less than 18 seconds! The previous record was held by the Koenigsegg Agera R, which managed a 0-300-0 km/h Guinness World Record time of 21.19 seconds. The Koenigsegg One:1 managed to accomplish the same task a full 3.24 seconds faster. The Koenigsegg One:1 established the new 0-300-0 km/h world record on the Angelholm test track in Sweden. The session took place on Monday, June 8 2015, from 6pm to 10pm. The driver was Robert Serwanski.
Here is some telemetry data recorded during this record braking test session (they used a VBox data recorder):
Keep in mind that this 0-300-0 km/h record time was recorded during a single run. Koenigsegg says that if they took the fastest 0-300 km/h acceleration time and the fastest 300-0 km/h deceleration time, the record would be 17.49 seconds.
Koenigsegg also mentions that the One:1 they used is 50 kg heavier than a regular customer car. This is due to the fact that they had to use a heavier roll-cage for safety reasons.
The test track used for setting this record is 1.5 km long and it has no gradient. During the test the track was completely dry. The One:1 had the same Michelin Pilot Sport 2 Cup tires as all the customer cars.
