The Koenigsegg Regera, which had its world debut today at the Geneva Motor Show, is probably the world's first megacar with no less than 1,500 hp! The Regera is powered by the Koenigsegg Direct Drive, which is a hybrid system. The Koenigsegg Direct Drive includes a 5.0-liter V8 engine and three electric motors. According tot he official specs, the total output of this powertrain is 1,500 hp! This new technology replaces the conventional transmission with a direct drive to the rear axle from the combustion engine. The electric motors power the rear wheels and one of them powers the crankshaft. The Koenigsegg Regera weighs 1,420 kg, out of which, the KDD is 88 kg. In terms of performance, the Koenigsegg Regera is able to accelerate from zero to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 2.8 seconds, from 150 km/h to 250 km/h in 3.2 seconds, and from naught to 400 km/h in just 20 seconds!

The equipment list of the Koenigsegg Regera includes an active rear wing, and an Akrapovic exhaust system. The doors, the boot lid and the engine cover can be operated automatically through your smartphone.

Here are the full specifications and details of the Koenigsegg Regera. Its price has not been disclosed yet, but its manufacturer says it will built it in just 80 units.
