Thrust 2: World Speed Record Car Presented

Thrust 2 is a jet-powered British-build world speed record car that managed to hit a top speed of 650.88 mph (1,047.49 km/h) on October 4th, 1983. Thrust 2 managed to set the world speed record at 633.468 mph (1,019.468 km/h) (average speed of two runs within one hour). The attempt took place at the Black Rock Desert in Nevada, USA. Thrust 2 is powered by a single Rolls-Royce Avon jet engine.
