| This is probably the fastest Volkswagen Golf in the world at the moment. Based on a VW Golf MK2 and powered by a 1.8-liter turbocharged engine, the 16Vampire develops 900 hp. Imagine that! Nine hundred horsepowers pulled out of such a small engine. The 16Vampire is equipped with an all-wheel-drive system and it's able to get from nought to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 2.3 seconds. This is faster than a Bugatti Veyron! It runs the quarter mile in 9.08 seconds at 263 km/h. | |||||
