The Volkswagen Golf Sportsvan is going to be premiered tomorrow at the 2013 Frankfurt motor show. Volkswagen says that the Golf Sportsvan is a near-production concept, which will spawn a production model next year. The VW Golf Sportsvan promises to offer more flexible interior and more space for its passengers and their luggage. Volkswagen says that the Golf Sportvan's rear bench has 180 mm of fore-aft adjustment. The VW Golf Sportvan comes with 1,500 litres of cargo space, a variable cargo floor, and a cargo cover. The Golf Sportsvan's equipment list includes XDS+, Automatic Post-Collision Braking System, air conditioning, 7 airbags, a new electronic parking brake, and a 5-inch touchscreen. The Golf Sportsvan's safety systems include Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Traffic Alert, DCC dynamic chassis control, Front Assist with City Emergency Braking, Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) and a lane-keeping assistant.

Volkswagen is going to sell the Sportsvan Golf with a various engines, with power outputs ranging from 63 kW / 85 PS to 110 kW / 150 PS. At launch, the VW Sportvan Golf is going to be available with the 1.6 TDI BlueMotion engine, which develops 110 PS. VW says that all versions of the Golf Sportsvan comes with a stop-start system. The new van promises to offer a fuel consumption as low as 3.7 l/100 km and a 95 g/km CO2 emissions level.

The Volkswagen Golf Sportsvan's price and availability are going to be announced at a later date.
