Aftermarket specialists are rushing to offer upgrade programs for the new generation Volkswagen Golf VII. ABT opened the flood gates yesterday and are now followed by another German tuner - Oettinger. Oettinger's program for the VW Golf 7 includes a body kit and power upgrades for various engines. The Oettinger Golf VII comes with a new front bumper, a set of side skirts and a discreet rear diffuser. The aero package is priced at 1,490 EUR. Oettinger plans to further develop this body kit. They are currently working on wheel arch extensions and a new set of wheels. In the future, Oettinger will also offer a limited slip diff, a bespoke exhaust systems and improved brakes and suspension.

So far, Oettinger's performance upgrades are limited to the diesel versions of the Golf VII. The 2.0-liter TDI gets 150 hp, and the 1.6-liter versions get 110 hp and 125 hp respectively. Oettinger's power pack for the Golf VII GTI is expected to increase the hot hatch's output to anywhere between 260 hp and a very serious 360 hp.
