The Volkswagen Golf VII has just had its world debut and ABT Sportsline already has an aftermarket package for it. The new ABT Volkswagen Golf VII program includes both visual and performance upgrades for the popular German hatchback. ABT's body kit for the VE Golf 7 includes a new front spoiler, a new grille, headlights covers, side skirts, a re-styled rear bumper with an integrated diffuser, and a discreet roof wing. The ABT Golf VII comes with four tailpipes, a lowered suspension and a set of 18- or 19-inch light alloys wheels with a dark finish. ABT's new Golf 7 also shows some graphics on the side mirrors and a few other discreet styling accents. In terms of performance, ABT offers power kits for all the engines of the Golf 7 line-up.
The ABT Golf VII 1.2 TFSI develops 105 hp, and the 1.4 TFSI unit is good for 165 hp. This is 25 hp more for the 1.4-liter turbocharged engine. For the VW Golf 7 1.6 TDI ABT offers 20 hp more for a total of 125 hp, while the entry level 2.0 TDI engine gets 30 extra horsepowers, reaching a total of 150 hp. The top of the range diesel version, the ABT VW Golf 7 2.0 TDI is rated with an output of 210 hp.
