Volkswagen announced today that the new Golf VII is going to be available with the carmaker's 4Motion all-wheel-drive system. VW also announced today that the Golf 7 line-up will receive three new engines and a driver assistance pack. The Volkswagen Golf VII 4Motion will be available with a choice between two engines: 1.6 l 77 kW (105 PS) TDI and 2.0 l 110 kW (150 PS) TDI. Both models come with BlueMotion Technology and are available with the 6-speed manual transmission only. The three new engines of the VW Golf VII line-up include a 1.2 l 77 kW (105 PS) TSI, a 1.4 l 90 kW (122 PS) TSI and a 1.4 l 103 kW (140 PS) TSI. The 140 PS 1.4 TSI features the ACT active cylinder management technology, which reduces fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. The 3 new engines of the Golf 7 can be ordered in conjunction with the 6-speed manual gearbox or the 7-speed dual clutch gearbox (DSG).

The driver assistance pack for the Volkswagen Golf 7 is priced at 1690 euros and it includes:

- ACC adaptive cruise control
- Front Assist surroundings monitoring system with City Emergency Braking function
- Bi-xenon headlights with LED daytime running lights and cornering lights
- Dynamic Light Assist dynamic main beam control
- Light and sight pack
- Lane Assist lane-keeping assistant
- Anti-theft warning system Plus
- Traffic sign detection
