Volkswagen Golf VII Leaked

 »  »  »

These appear to be the first images of the new generation Volkswagen Golf VII, which leaked over the web last weekend. VW has not yet confirmed their authenticity, but we're not expecting them to do so anyway. As expected, the Golf VII keeps the same general proportions as its predecessor, however, it does show quite a few styling changes. Their rear light clusters have been modified, as well as the rear bumper and the tailpipes. Unfortunately we don’t have an image of the Golf 7's front, but we're sure it features a new design too. Volkswagen seems to have completely de-resigned the Golf VII's interior. There's a new center console, a new steering wheel and new dials. The center console seems to be slightly oriented towards the driver.

We've previously learned that the VW Golf VII has more generous dimensions than the VI. It's also 100 kg lighter, which means it will offer better mileage as well as lower CO2 emissions. VW will sell the Golf VII with various four-cylinder engines, both petrol and diesel, with outputs ranging from 138 hp to 220 hp. There will most definitely be a Golf VII GTI too. We'll have more details regarding the Golf 7 as soon as Volkswagen makes them available.
