The line between muscle car and hypercar has finally been crossed. In fact, this heavily modified 1970 Dodge Charger will probably put most hypercars in their place. Called Tantrum, it is the work of SpeedKore Performance Group, which is company based in Port Washington, Wisconsin, USA. We have to say, that the Tantrum Charger is one of the most impressive machines we've ever had the privilege of covering here. The Tantrum Charger is powered by an all-aluminum 9.0-liter twin-turbocharged Mercury Racing engine developed by Mercury Racing. This beast puts out no less than 1,650 hp! The engine is a 90-degree double overhead cam V8 with two 94mm turbos. The power is sent to the Ford 9-inch rear axle through a Tremec T56 Bowler 6-speed transmission.

The Dodge Charger Tantrum comes with a 4-link rear suspension, a 9-inch differential, and a custom front suspension.

The Tantrum Charger's fenders, frame rails, floor, and roll bar have all been designed and built in-house. The muscle car sits on 19-inch front and 20-inch rear HRE wheels with Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires. Other features of the Dodge Charger Tantrum include a bespoke exhaust, a Peterson dry sump oil tank, two Aeromotive A1000 fuel pumps, and a Saldana radiator. Its custom stainless steel fuel tank was developed by Rock Valley. To be able to stop this black beast, SpeedKore fitted it with a set of 14-inch brakes from Baer.

The exterior of the Tantrum Charger comes with several custom part made of carbon fiber. These include the hood, the front and rear fascias, the valences and the front fenders.
