The 2008 Mazda6 Pac Performance has officially become the fastest rotary engine powered car in the world. The 2008 Mazda6 Pac Performance managed to run the 400 meters in 6.752 seconds with an average speed of 201 mph. The event took place at the Fuchs Australian Nationals at Western Sydney International Dragway last Saturday. The 2008 Mazda6 Pac Performance was driven by Rocky Rehayem.

The 2008 Mazda6 Pac Performance is powered by a single-turbo, triple-rotor Mazda engine which was modified by Rocky and George Rehayem and develops 1,500 hp. For less weight and better strength its developers have used aerospace-grade materials. the chassis of the 2008 Mazda6 Pac Performance is made from chrome-moly while the body and the brakes are made from carbon fiber. Steering components are constructed from titanium while magnesium is used for the transmission case.
