Mazda revealed at the 2013 North American International Auto Show their latest racecar, which is based on the latest generation of the Mazda6 sedan. The new Mazda6 SKYACTIV-D racecar is powered by the Japanese carmaker's clean diesel engine. Unfortunately, Mazda did not disclose any technical details regarding their latest racing machine. The Mazda6 SKYACTIV-D race was developed in collaboration SpeedSource and it represents the work of engineers from both the United States and Japan. You'll be able to see the new Mazda6 SKYACTIV-D in action at the 2013 Rolex 24 at Daytona, where it's going to be raced by Freedom Autosport and VISIT FLORIDA Racing / SpeedSource / Yellow Dragon Racing.

The Mazda6 SKYACTIV-D comes with completely new aerodynamics, which include a huge front spoiler, a new bonnet with a large vent for cooling the engine, side skirts, a rear diffuser and a boot lid wing. Of course, there's also a roll cage and sport bucket seats.
