Mazda announced today that it's going to premiere the new generation 2013 Mazda6 sedan at this year's Moscow Motor Show (August 29 - September 9, 2012). Judging from the images they sent us, the 2013 Mazda6 has a completely new front and rear end design, which follows the lines of the company's new philosophy (KODO-SOUL OF MOTION). Its headlights, front grille and bumper and its taillights have all been restyled. Even though the Japanese carmaker did not publish any images of the 2013 Mazda6's interior, we're pretty sure there are a number of updates there too. Apart from the obvious visual changes, the new Mazda6 (2013) brings some technological novelties too. For instance, it is Mazda's first model to feature the new i-ELOOP regenerative braking system. Of course, the new Mazda6 will feature full range of SKYACTIV technologies.

Thanks to its i-ELOOP system, the new Mazda6 (2013) represents the carmaker's second step in its strategy for environmental technology development. This new strategy aims to introduce various electric devices with the goal of reducing fuel consumption.

The particular 2013 Mazda6 that's going to be on display in Moscow is powered by a direct-injection SKYACTIV-G 2.0 petrol engine and six-speed SKYACTIV–DRIVE automatic transmission. We'll have more details about the new Mazda6 (2013) as soon as they're available.
