2008 Skoda Superb Euro NCAP Rating

Skoda announced today that their new 2008 Skoda Superb Euro-NCAP rating is five stars. The 2008 Skoda Superb received the highest possible Euro-NCAP safety rating thanks to its knee airbag.

"The new Superb has been developed to provide the occupants with maximum possible safety. The Euro-NCAP results confirm that we have managed to produce a top-quality vehicle in terms of performance, user comfort, as well as safety, one of the key aspects from the customer's perspective, and I am indeed very pleased about that”, said Dr. Eckhard Scholz, Skoda Auto Board Member responsible for Technical Development.

In the side impact and pole impact simulations the 2008 Skoda Superb Euro-NCAP rating is also

five stars with 35 points for the protection of adults and 40 points for the protection of children.

The safety equipment of the 2008 Skoda Superb includes seven airbags, a new-generation more rigid chassis, front seats optimised to protect the occupants from cervical spine injuries. As an option it can be equipped with two additional airbags and an adaptive front lighting system.

The 2008 Skoda Superb goes on sale on the UK market in September.
