Skoda announced today a new version of the Superb - the Skoda Superb 2.0 TDI 140 hp. The Skoda Superb 2.0 TDI 140 hp replaces the PD version of the engine and comes with Common Rail diesel technology and the standard diesel particulate filter (DPF). The Skoda Superb 2.0 TDI 140 hp offers an improved fuel consumption by 4.4mpg, meaning it's now 52.3mpg. The CO2 emissions level of the Skoda Superb 2.0 TDI 140 hp is 143g/km which represents a 12g/km improvement over the current version.

The Skoda Superb 2.0 TDI 140 hp is more economic thanks to a single, high-pressure fuel rail and a lower compression ratio. The new version will be available as a hatchback or estate, in the S, SE or Elegance trim and fitted with a six-speed manual or twin-clutch DSG transmission.
