Skoda has released a new of photos of their newest model - the 2008 Skoda Superb - premiered at this year's Geneva auto show. The main petrol engine of the 2008 Skoda Superb is a 1.8 TSI unit that develops 160 hp and 250 Nm of torque between 1,500 rpm and 4,200 rpm. The engine can be coupled with either a manual six-speed gearbox or an automatic seven-speed DSG transmission. With this powertrain the 2008 Skoda Superb has a top speed of 220 km/h and a 0 to 100 km/h acceleration time of 8.6 seconds. The fuel consumption is 7.6 liters per 100 kilometers in a combined cycle while the CO2 emissions level is around 180 g/km.
