smart USA officially confirmed the introduction of the 2009 BRABUS smart fortwo in US at its North American debut at the LA Auto Show. The US versions of the 2009 BRABUS smart fortwo is powered by the same 61 cubic inches three-cylinder gasoline engine as the standard version that has been tuned to develop 70 hp (52 kW). the engine is coupled with a five-speed automated manual transmission.
The body kit upgrades of the 2009 BRABUS smart fortwo include new front and rear skirts, fender flairs, roof spoiler, double fog and driving lamps and grille and rear bumper BRABUS nameplates. The interior of the 2009 BRABUS smart fortwo features ambient lighting, a leather-wrapped handbrake lever and gear knob, sport brake and gas pedals and a 3-spoke leather sports steering wheel.
The 2009 BRABUS smart fortwo also comes with a sport suspension and a new exhaust system.
The 2009 BRABUS smart fortwo price for Unites States starts at $17,990 for the coupe and at $20,990 for the cabriolet.
