BMW has announced today the 2011 BMW 5 Series xDrive price for the North American version of the new sedan. The 2011 BMW 5 Series xDrive is equipped with the latest generation all-wheel-drive system from BMW which was introduced last year on the new 7 Series. The 2011 BMW 5 Series xDrive is equipped with the Integrated Chassis Management (ICM) system which can identify and limit understeer by shifting torque rearward. The same system can also apply a precise combination of throttle and individual rear-corner braking so the cornering of the 2011 BMW 5 Series xDrive remains neutral.
The 2011 BMW 5 Series xDrive also comes with Hill Descent Control, 8-speed automatic transmission and a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
The 2011 BMW 5 Series xDrive price starts at 52,775 USD for the 535i and at 62,875 USD for the top of the range 550i model. The 2011 BMW 5 Series xDrive price includes a $2300 premium over their traditional rear-wheel drive counterparts.
