Jeep announced today the price list of the 2011 Compass for the UK market. Jeep will put the 2011 Compass on sale on the British market from April 15th, with a base price of 16,995 GBP. The UK version of the 2011 Jeep Compass will be available in the 4x4 version and will be powered by 2.2-litre CRD turbo diesel engine developed by Mercedes. Jeep's 2011 Compass 2.2 CRD will be available in two power output levels, 134 bhp and 161 bhp, and 320Nm of torque from 1400 rpm. This is a in-line four cylinder unit, equipped with the latest common rail technology.
The petrol range of the 2011 Jeep Compass includes 2.0 and 2.4-litres engine, both coming with dual Variable Valve Timing and twin overhead camshafts.
The 2.0 petrol version of the 2011 Compass comes with a five-speed manual gearbox, the 2.2 CRD with a six-speed manual, and the top of the line 2.4 petrol features the CVT2 Continuously Variable Transmission.
In terms of off-road capabilities, the 2011 Jeep Compass has a 209mm ground clearance, a 20-degree approach angle, 20-degree breakover angle and 32-degree departure angle. Jeep says the 2011 Compass has a 2000 kg towing capability.
