Daimler has released a new set of images of the 2011 Mercedes R500 4MATIC - the top of the range R Class facelift. The 2011 Mercedes R500 4MATIC has a powerful V8 petrol engine that sends 285 kW (388 hp) and 530 Nm of torque to all four wheels via the company's 4MATIC drive system. The engine of the new R500 is coupled with a 7G-TRONIC automatic transmission. This is one fast people carrier, and expensive too. The 2011 Mercedes R500 4MATIC price starts at 62,400 EUR and includes the company's latest in safety technology. The equipment list of the 2011 Mercedes R500 4MATIC includes crash-responsive NECK-PRO head restraints, eight airbags and the PRE-SAFE anticipatory occupant protection system.
