Mercedes-Benz revealed today the updated 2013 ML500 4MATIC BlueEFFICIENCY, which brings increased performance and more equipment to its SUV model range. The 2013 Mercedes ML500 is the most powerful version of the SUV, apart from the AMG version. It's powered by a 4.7-liter V8 engine, which is good for 300 kW (408 hp) and a very serious 600 Nm of torque from 1600 rpm. This EU5 engine is able to take the Mercedes ML500 from zero to 62 mph (0-100 km/h) in just 5.6 seconds. Its top speed is limited to 155 mph (250 km/h). Mercedes rates the new ML500 (2013) with a combined fuel economy of 11 liter per 100 km and with a CO2 emissions level of 258 g/km. These levels of performance are made possible by two turbos, one for each row of cylinders, a third-generation direct fuel injection system with spray-guided combustion and piezo injectors combined with multi-spark ignition.

Naturally, the 2013 Mercedes ML500 is equipped with the 7-speed 7G-TRONIC PLUS automatic gearbox.

The 2013 Mercedes ML500 comes as standard with the COLLISION PREVENTION ASSIST (CPA) with adaptive Brake Assist, and 19-inch alloys. Apart from the new CPA, the new ML500 (2013) comes with the complete range of equipment and systems you would expect from Mercedes. Active Parking Assist, the COMAND system, a new TFT display for the on-board computer, and a Bang & Olufsen BeoSound sound system are but a few goodies offered with the new SUV.

The 2013 Mercedes ML500's price starts at €75,029.50 (including VAT). You'll be able to order yours starting from 22 June. The new ML500 will arrive in dealerships this fall.
