Mercedes announced that certain models, like the 2009 Mercedes M, R, GL, G and E Class will be equipped with HD Radio. The free AM/FM HD radio service is a part of the new Mercedes entertainment system.

"Mercedes-Benz is committed to providing our customers with the latest, next-generation in-vehicle entertainment technology."
The 2009 Mercedes M, R, GL, G and E Class will
feature a 6.5-inch color display screen with a standard in-dash, six-disc CD/DVD changer and a Bluetooth interface.
The head unit of the 2009 Mercedes M, R, GL, G and E Class will come, optionally, with an iPod/MP3 media interface, Sirius satellite radio and HD Radio technology.
