Mercedes announced today the price of the E300 Bluetec Hybrid for the UK market. The new hybrid E Class is powered by a 2,143cc, four-cylinder diesel engine, which puts out 204 hp and 500 Nm of torque. The internal combustion engine gets help from a 20 kW electric motor and a 19kW Lithium-ion battery. The E300 Hybrid comes with the 7G-Tronic Plus automatic transmission and offers pretty decent performance for its class. Mercedes says that the E300 Hybrid needs 7.5 seconds for the nought to 62 mph trip and that it can reach a top speed of 150 mph. As you're probably expecting, the efficiency figures are impressive. The Mercedes E300 Hybrid's price for the British market starts at £39,645.00 OTR in the case of the saloon and at £41,435.00 OTR for the estate. The deliveries of both versions will begin in Britain in November.
