Mercedes-Benz announced today the price list of the new generation 2013 GL and the high-performance GL63 AMG for the UK market. The 2013 Mercedes GL goes on sale in the UK in January 2013 and it's going to be available in two versions: GL 350 BlueTEC AMG Sport and the GL63 AMG. The 2013 Mercedes GL price for the British market starts at £59,465 OTR. In comparison to the previous generation of the model, the 2013 version is 21 mm longer and 10 mm taller and it has a 60-litre increased luggage capacity. The 2013 Mercedes GL 350 BlueTEC AMG Sport is powered by a 3.0-liter engine, that's good for 258 hp and 620 Nm of torque. Mercedes says that that the new GL350 is able to get from zero to 62 mph in 7.9 seconds and to reach a top speed of 137 mph. With a 35.3 mpg fuel economy and a 209 g/km CO2 emissions level, the new GL is 15% more efficient and 14% cleaner than its predecessor.
The Mercedes GL63 AMG's price starts at £91,680 OTR and it comes with a 5.5-liter engine that develops 557 hp and 760 Nm of torque. With 288 g/km CO2 emissions and a 23.0 mpg fuel economy the GL63 is not the most efficient SUV. However, it can get from nought to 62 mph in 4.9 seconds and to reach a top speed of 155 mph.
Some of the options offered by Mercedes for the new GL Class (2013) include the Parking Package with a 360-degree camera, which is going to cost you £675 GBP, the panoramic glass roof (£920), On- & Off-Road Package (£1,985), designo leather upholstery (£6,845). The Driving Assistance Package that includes Active Blind Spot Assist, Active Lane-Keeping Assist and Distronic Plus with Pre-Safe Brake is going to set you back £2,350 GBP.
