The aftermarket specialists from Carlsson launched today their new upgrade program, called the CGL45, which is based on the Mercedes GL Grand Edition. Carlsson is offering both performance and styling upgrades for Merc's Grand Edition GL. For example, the Carlsson GL500 gets 435 hp (320 kW) and a massive 600 Nm of torque and the 3.-liter V6 diesel engine gets 310 hp (228 kW) and 700 Nm of torque thanks to the C-Tronic DIESEL POWER unit.

Carlsson's aerodynamics for the GL Grand Edition are developed in the wind tunnel, to ensure maximum downforce and minimum drag. The body kit of the Carlsson Mercedes GL Grand Edition includes wider wheel arches, a front spoiler, chrome-finished radiator grille, and a new rear

skirt with four oval stainless steel exhaust pipes.

The Carlsson GL Grand Edition sits on C-Tronic SUSPENSION that reduces the ride height by 30 mm, 22 inch 1/5 Evo Brilliant Edition wheels, and Vredestein high-performance 305/35 ZR22 tires.

For the interior of the Grand Edition GL, Carlsson offers illuminated door sills, a double-sewn quilted leather/Alcantara upholstery, wood and stainless steel inserts, and aluminum pedals.

Carlsson will announce the price of their CGL45 program for the Mercedes GL Grand Edition at a later date.
