The first 2012 Audi S8 info has surfaced the web last night. The 2012 Audi S8 was caught on some recent spy images while it was preparing for some test runs on the Nurburgring race track. Visually, the 2012 Audi S8 will feature twin dual exhaust pipes and various interior and exterior carbon fiber and aluminum accents.
One of the carmaker's designer said the new 2012 Audi S8 will have an important influence on the future performance models made by the company. The S and RS versions of the Audi models will be much more different than their respective standard versions.
In the recent spy images however, the 2012 Audi S8 doesn’t seem to be much more different than the A8, apart from the exhaust obviously.
Early rumors say the 2012 Audi S8 will be powered by a V8 engine developing around 450 hp that will be coupled with a double-clutch transmission.
The 2012 Audi S8 price has not yet been disclosed, but the new version is expected to hit the market sometime next year.
