The aftermarket specialists from ABT Sportsline revealed today a new power kit for the latest generation of the Audi S8. The new Audi S8 power kit increases the output of the high-end luxury sedan to 640 hp/471 kW and 780 Nm of torque. This is 120 hp/89 kW and 130 Nm of torque more than the factory version of the S8. Apart from increasing the output, the new power pack for the Audi S8 from ABT removes the electronic speed limiter. This results in a top speed of 280. Unfortunately, ABT does not disclose the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) acceleration time of their S8. The power continues to come from the 4.0 TFSI biturbo V8 engine. Even though ABT does not clearly mention it, we believe the extra horsepowers offered by the tuner's performance kit come from a re-mapped ECU.
Apart from that, their new power kit includes a stainless steel sports exhaust system with four tailpipes, two on each side of the car. ABT equips their new Audi S8 with a new set of 21-inch wheels, finished in Mystic Black or Gun-Metal. ABT's new Audi S8 sits on a custom suspension system that allows you to lower its ride height by up to 25 mm.
ABT is going to announce the price of their new power kit for the Audi S8 at a later date.
