The Ingolstadt carmaker revealed today a more exclusive and powerful version of the their flagship sedan, the Audi S8 Plus. The Audi S8 Plus is powered by the 4.0 TFSI biturbo engine, which has been bumped up 445 kW (605 hp) and 700 Nm (516.3 lb-ft) of torque. While in overboost mode, Audi's S8 Plus puts out 750 Nm (553.2 lb-ft). This is 63 kW (85 hp) more than the regular version of the S8. According to Audi's official specifications, the S8 Plus is able to accelerate from zero to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 3.8 seconds. It can reach a top speed of 250 km/h (155.3 mph). Optionally, you'll be able to increase the top speed of your Audi S8 Plus to 305 km/h (189.5 mph). To get the extra power out of the 4.0 TFSI engine, Audi reprogrammed the S8's ECU, modified its exhaust valves and optimized the interior geometry of the turbochargers.
The Audi S8 Plus comes equipped with the quattro all-wheel-drive system, the 8-speed tiptronic transmission, and a sport differential. The S8 Plus is also fitted with adaptive air suspension, dynamic steering, 21-nich alloys, carbon ceramic brakes with anthracite-gray calipers, and a sport exhaust system. The distinctive design elements of the Audi S8 Plus include its rear spoiler lip, the flaps in the side air inlets and the blade on the front apron. all of them are made of carbon fiber. The mirror caps can be ordered in gloss black or carbon. The Audi S8 Plus also features gloss black Singleframe grille and double bars, matt black air inlets and radiator screen, black trim strips on the side windows, smoked rear lights, and oval gloss black tailpipes.
The equipment list of the Audi S8 Plus includes Matrix LED headlights, dynamic turn signals, a black full-leather interior, sport seats, round instruments with gray dials, and a three-spoke sport leather steering wheel.
